flowhook
Flowhook is a patent pending, handcrafted copper hanger designed to support the care, longevity, and respect of your yoga mat.
After practice—especially hot yoga—mats are often left damp, folded, or rolled up and left in the corner of the room or in a car where moisture and bacteria can accumulate. Flowhook offers a simple, intentional solution by allowing your mat to hang openly so it can properly air dry between sessions.
Instead of hiding your mat in a closet or leaning it in a corner, Flowhook gives it a dedicated place in your space.
No straps.
No folding.
No clutter.
Just a thoughtful way to care for the mat that supports your practice.
• Promotes Natural Air Drying
Allows your mat to dry fully after practice so moisture doesn’t remain trapped inside the roll.
• Supports a More Hygienic Practice
Proper drying helps reduce the damp conditions where odor and bacteria can develop.
• Helps Preserve Your Mat
Allowing your mat to breathe between sessions helps maintain its grip, structure, and longevity.
• Honors the Ritual of Practice
Your mat holds the energy of every breath, movement, and moment of stillness. Giving it a dedicated place to rest and dry reflects the mindfulness and gratitude at the heart of yoga.

about
Flowhook started with a wet yoga mat.
After hot yoga classes, my mat would be anywhere from damp to dripping…but never dry. Like most people, I wiped it down at the end of class and rolled it up—but that didn’t help dry it. The sweat, the moisture, and the inevitable smell. It was clear a quick wipe wasn’t enough. So I made something that could do it properly.
Using PVC pipe and duct tape from around the house, I built the first version of what would become Flowhook. It allowed me to hang my mat, rinse it thoroughly with a hose, and let it air dry outside in the sun.
What started as a quick homemade solution quickly became part of my routine after every practice. Over time, that original prototype evolved into the copper hanger Flowhook is today—minimal, durable, and purpose-built to properly rinse, dry, and care for your mat.
Because when the practice ends, the ritual doesn’t. Flowhook completes it.

use and care guide
Center Your Mat
Drape your mat evenly so weight is balanced on both sides for a natural, stable hang.
Let It Breathe
Allow open airflow around your mat to support thorough drying.
Choose an Open Location
Place Flowhook where your mat can hang undisturbed until fully dry.
Do Not Apply Body Weight
Flowhook is designed for mat storage only and should not support pulling, hanging, or exercise resistance.
Avoid Walkway Placement
Install in a location where a mat cannot fall into a high-traffic area.
Limit Prolonged Direct Sun Exposure
Sunlight can assist drying, but extended heat exposure may degrade some mat materials over time. Follow your mat manufacturer’s care recommendations.
Do Not Overload
Flowhook is designed specifically for a single yoga mat. Avoid hanging additional items.
Natural Material Transfer
Some softer rubber, polyurethane, or high-grip mat surfaces may leave slight material transfer on Flowhook over time.
This is a normal surface interaction between materials and does not indicate damage to your mat.
In most cases, any visible transfer is cosmetic and can be gently wiped from the copper surface.
The tradeoff is minimal compared to the significantly greater risk of storing a damp mat rolled up, where trapped moisture can contribute to odor, bacteria buildup, and premature material breakdown.
Flowhook is designed to support healthier drying and storage habits that far outweigh this minor cosmetic effect.
